Kali Natha Yoga Teacher Trainings

To deepen your yoga practice, Kashi Ashram offers 200 and 300-hour teacher trainings in Kali Natha Yoga certified by Yoga Alliance. Teacher trainings are distinctly transformative and complement other yoga teachings.

Kali Natha Yoga is prayer in motion and movement with awareness. Students can practice this yoga at any age, in any physical condition. A deeply healing practice, Kali Natha Yoga is a series of yoga poses, movements and breathing techniques steeped in the energetic of Divine Feminine. Practiced together these enhance your stamina and calm your nervous system. At the end of the practice, students enjoy inner quiet and profound refreshment in body, mind and spirit.

200-Hour TEACHER TRAINING

We offer a powerful 200-hour Kali Natha Yoga Teacher Training that invites you to deepen your practice in ways that positively informs every aspect of your life. Immerse yourself in a yoga tradition that awakens the heart and offers the joy of community! You will learn to:

This is a yoga of intent — focusing your passion for life and desire to embody love — you feel the mind, body and soul align. The practice fills you with joy, connects you to Mother Earth, opens your creativity, and imbues you with resiliency, simplicity, and intention. You embody this essence and carry it with you, on and off the mat.

Coursework

During 7 weekend modules you will learn and practice:

  • Anatomy, Yoga Posture and Philosophy

  • Kali Natha Yoga Foundations, Asanas, Pranayama techniques including extensive practice teaching sessions

  • Meditation and Breath practices; Mantra, sound and kirtan

  • Study of the Yamas, Niyamas, Mudras, Kundalini, the Chakra system and energy anatomy

  • Individual Mentorship and Modifications Clinics

  • Chair yoga and a history of Lineage Yoga

  • Conscious living

  • Introduction to Ayurveda, Fire Puja

  • Trauma and Kali Natha Yoga approaches for pain and trauma

  • Service and volunteerism as a path of social activism and selfless service

  • The business of yoga

  • The 11 Karmic Spaces: How to break free of patterns that bind us

  • Extensive practice teaching sessions

300-Hour teacher training

Reach greater spiritual awareness and deepen your understanding of an ancient lineage yoga imbued with the energy of the Divine Feminine. The Kali Natha Yoga 300-hour teacher training connects you to the divine essence within through a variety of practices such as chakra activation, prana activation and breath awareness. Graduates enjoy being balanced and grounded on and off the mat.

You will develop as a teacher who is comfortable speaking and leading from the heart center. You will master attuning to Divine Feminine energy and use it to hold a presence that invites your students into their bodies and hearts. A special focus on service enhances your training as a leader. The inner energy work supports your personal and professional growth, transforming your relationship to self and others.

COURSEWORK

Training is completed online or in-person at your convenience with a variety of 1-day, weekend, and 5-day modules offered throughout the year. You will learn and practice teaching:

  • Divine feminine embodiment asana flows, including Ganesh Asana Series, Dance of the Divine Mother Series, Mother Earth Series, Honoring the Vedic God of the Wind Series, Gratitude and Compassion Series, Warrior Series, Sun and Moon Balancing, Igniting Inner Fire Series, Moon Cooling Series, Wisdom Goddesses Series (the Mahavidyas)

  • History of Divine Feminine Yoga

  • Kali Natha Yoga Alignment Theory

  • Shakti Energy Practices

  • Silence and Inner Listening

  • Detachment and the Heart Space over the Head

  • The 7 Layers of Awareness

  • Mother Earth Breath Techniques

  • Meditation and Breath into the Formless

  • Activating the Mother Earth Chakra

Program requirements include:

  • Prerequisite: Completion of a 200-hour RYT certification

  • 300 hours of coursework (in-person or online)

  • 100 hours of teaching Kali Natha Yoga

  • A video teaching demonstration for final assessment

  • A yoga-relevant service project of your choice and direction (e.g., guiding Kali Natha Yoga meditations to patients of a substance abuse treatment center or introducing Kali Natha Yoga breath practices in a corporate setting).
